Reserve requirements:

The Colorado Division of Insurance has adopted a Risk Based Capital requirements as established by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). HMOs who do not meet the benchmark standard of 200% if Risk Based Capital are subject to regulatory action by the Division of Insurance.

History of the organization:
Colorado Access is a non-profit company that provides access to behavioral and physical health care services for medically underserved Coloradans. We were established in late 1994 by The Children's Hopsital, Colorado Community Managed Care Network, University of Colorado Hospital/University of Colorado Physicians, Inc. and Denver Health.
