ACAP Awards
As part of its commitment to serving vulnerable populations, ACAP awards several recognitions to people and orgranizaitons that stive to improve the health of Medicaid enrollees and other low-income populations.
The annual “Supporting the Safety Net” award is presented to a community-based organization (CHC, hospital, community provider, etc.) or individual whose work goes beyond the norm and whose services are recognized as best practices that stand as a model for replication in the safety net environment.
The annual “Making a Difference” award is presented to an employee of an ACAP plan whose work goes beyond the norm and whose services exemplify the ACAP principles of Advocacy, Care, Access, and Public Good.
A new annual "ACAP Scholarship Program" This was developed to help strengthen the public health care and social services workforce and to collect anecdotes highlighting the benefits of Medicaid managed care. ACAP will award one $2,000 tuition scholarship to an ACAP health plan enrollee or family member who is seeking higher education and interested in pursuing a career in health care or social services.
